2020: Appeared and started in nine games, all but one in left field before the season was cut short due to COVID-19 … Went 8-for-32 (.250) with a double and triple … Posted three multi-hit games and three multi-RBI efforts … Went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs, and a run scored in win vs. Georgetown (March 6). 

2019: Did not appear in a game.

2018: Appeared in 21 games and made two starts ... Batted .278 with five hits, including three doubles,, Delivered two RBI ... Scored eight runs as he was frequently called on to pinch run late in games ...  Recorded first Division I hit as a pinch hitter vs. Northern Illinois (March 14) ... Made first career start as designated hitter at UTRGV (Feb. 25).

PRIOR TO UIC: Attended Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill. ... Helped the Warriors win 50 games and finish third at the 2017 NJCAA World Series ... Laid down a walk-off safety squeeze against Indian Hills to help Wabash Valley win 1-0 in the Northern District championship game Contributed in back-to-back Great Rivers Athletic Conference and Region XXIV champions ... Also helped Wabash Valley win 2017 District IV championship ... Batted .325 and got on base at a clip of .450 as a sophomore ... Tallied 19 extra-base hits and 36 RBI, while scoring 41 runs ... Batted .312 with 14 extra-base hits and 28 RBI as a freshman in 2016 ... Played with current UIC teammate Ryan Campbell at WVC in 2016 ... Two-time Dean's list recipient.

PREP/PERSONAL: Four-year letterwinner at Prairie H.S. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa ... Iowa High School All-State First Team selection in 2015 ... Also played quarterback for two seasons at Prairie ... National Honor Society member ... Son of Kim and Dave Beckman ... Has one sister, Gabrielle ... Enjoys hiking, fishing and weightlifting ... Intends to major in teaching of history at UIC.
