Cabanban was a key member of the most successful tennis teams in UIC history. He played #1 singles and co-captained UIC's undefeated teams in 1953 and 1954, and led the squad to a streak of 25 consecutive dual match wins.

Over his three years at UIC Cabanban posted a three-year mark of 20-11, a .645 win/loss percentage. He also won 76% of his doubles matches during those three years. In the 1954 season he along with his doubles partner Sid Gorham, posted a 9-0 mark and he went 9-1 in singles play.

Jedlo was one of the finest players to take the court for the Navy Pier athletics program. He played number one singles as well as number one doubles and was named captain in both seasons he played. In 1962 Jedlo helped lead the Navy Pier team to the Gateway Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tennis Title. Jedlo was named to the Gateway All-Conference Squad. Following his career at the Navy Pier campus, Jedlo took a position as Head Teaching Professional at Sandburg Tennis Club.

Kristufek served as the tennis coach from 1952 through 1964, winning 91 matches and the swimming coach from 1953 through 1967, capturing 96 meets. He had two of his tennis teams finish the season undefeated while three squads won the Gateway Conference Championship and his swim teams captured three Chicago Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Tournaments.

Kristufek's career as an administrator began in 1952 when he was appointed Assistant to the Director of Athletics, a position he held for ten years. He served in a number of positions within the School of Physical Education and in 1985 he was selected as Dean of the College. He was elected to the UIC Faculty Senate for 14 years and served on several other committees throughout his career. Kristufek retired from UIC in 1993 after 42 years of service.
