Armstrong had a distinguished career on the hard-court for the Flames. It began with her being named to the 1992 North Star Conference All-Newcomer team and concluded with her being collecting the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year honors in 1995.

She left as UIC's career leader in steals (427) and second in career points (1,657), second in career free throws made (459), third for career assists (427), and fourth in career field goals made (546). She also set the UIC single game record for most points, scorching the DePaul Blue Demons for 42 points.

A three-time All-Horizon League First Team honoree, Campbell was twice named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and was a three-time selection to the All-Horizon League Defensive Team.
 
Playing in her hometown of Chicago, Campbell was a strong presence on both ends of the floor, setting the school and Horizon League records for career rebounds (1,277) and ranking second in program history with 1,671 career points. Campbell became the 20th member of UIC's 1,000-point club during the 2014-15 season, holds the school record for most career field goals made (679) and is fourth in program history with 142 career blocks. She was the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), setting a tournament record for blocks in a game (eight) while leading the Flames to the first postseason championship in program history.

Gilbert dominated inside the paint during her four year career at UIC grabbing boards and scoring points. As a sophomore and junior, her rebounding skills were unmatched, pulling down 298 and 306 boards respectively. In her senior year, Gilbert took over the scoring averaging 21.1 points per game and totaling 590 points.

Gilbert closed out her career with her name all over the UIC record book. She was in the top five for career points (1,521), rebounds (1,037), blocked shots (105), and shooting percentage (.521) at UIC.

On the court Gilbert played three seasons at UIC, finishing her career in third place all-time scoring list and top five with 1,071 points. She set the single game record for field goal attempts in a game with 37 tries against Northern Illinois.

Gilbert earned North Star Conference Second Team honors and was named the squads Most Valuable Player in the 1990-1991 season, averaging 15.2 ppg and 3.0 rpg. She scored a career high 30 points in a win over Cleveland State and was named the North Star Conference Player of the Week.

McCarthy is the most recognizable name in UIC women's basketball annals. As the only women's basketball player to have her number (21) retired in history. McCarthy came from the South Side to the West Side and made it her own. She has five school records, including being the all-time scoring leader with 1,805 points. McCarthy also tops the all-time list in assists (430), three-pointers (238), three-point attempts (618) and free throws made (463). She was a First Team All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference performer in 1993 and in 1997, and hailed as the 1997 MCC Player of the Year.

A 6-1 center from Chicago, McGowan was a force to reckon with during her four years with the Flames. After averaging 5.5 ppg during her first three seasons. She tossed in a team leading 12.5 ppg in her final year along with 5.5 rebounds and a school record .528 field goal percentage and that same season she led the team in scoring nine times including a career high 26 points against Cleveland State.

McGowan finished her career ranking first for her .479 field goal percentage, fifth on the all-time points list with 745, sixth for rebounds (453) and first for personal fouls. She was also among the top five for both free throws made and attempted.

Toni (Stachon) Paolini was a member of the 1977-1978 women's baskeball team that went 16-6. As team captain in her final season, Paolini led the squad in assists with 105 and averaged 14.6 points per game. Paolini finished her career with 1,071 points and 633 rebounds. During her sophomore year, Paolini recorded 390 points and 262 rebounds and was invited to tryout for the 1976 U.S. Olympic team. On the softball field playing shortstop, she belted three home runs in the 1977 season. After UIC, Paolini continued her basketball career with the Chicago Hustle and the Minnesota Fillies of the Women's Professional Basketball League.

A talented two-sport athlete, Carroll-Poston was a standout on the hardwood as well as the track during her time at UIC. As a member of the basketball team she led the squad 'in scoring in each of her final three seasons. Her 1979-1980 season average of 22.7 ppg set the all-time Flames record. Carroll-Poston also set school records in single-game scoring (36), field goals made (15), and set the single season mark with 612 points and 396 rebounds. She concluded her career with 1,425 points and was the first female to dunk a ball in a college game.

Carrol-Poston also competed with the track team, specializing in the high jump and long jump. Her outdoor high jump record of 1.78m (5 ft. 10 in.), set in 1978, is one of the oldest records at UIC.

Thomas recorded 1,065 rebounds during her four year campaign at UIC. Thomas had UIC's second best single season rebound mark at the time with 363 during 1976-77. Thomas was named co-captain her junior year and captain her senior year. She accumulated 1,211 career points and 403 field goals. On the tennis court, Thomas held the number two spot in singles and played on the number one doubles team. After her career at UIC, Thomas went on to play for the Chicago Hustle of the Women's Professional Basketball League for more than two years.
