2006 ALL-HORIZON LEAGUE SECOND TEAM
2007: Started 35 games during senior campaign...hit a career-high four homers and drove in 26 runs...drove in six runs, with four coming on a grand slam, during a 3-for-5 day at the dish in a win over Washington State on Mar. 17...lofted a sacrifice fly to drive in what turned out to be the deciding run in UIC[apos]s win over Wright State on Apr. 14...hit a go-ahead two-run homer run in the sixth inning against Cleveland State on Apr. 28.
2006: All-Horizon League Second Team selection at the designated hitter spot...hit .397 (56-for-141) in 42 games...started 36 contests, with 33 of those starts coming at the DH spot...drove in 34 runs...hit nine doubles...scored 30 runs...posted a triple and two homers during the year...had an on-base percentage of .456...hit .408 (40-for-98) in 24 league starts...hit his first collegiate home run at Toledo on May 17...went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI against Butler in the Horizon League Baseball Championship on May 27.
2005: Appeared in 23 games...made eight starts...earned his first career hit against Vermont on Mar. 24...tallied at least one hit in his last seven starts.
Prior to UIC: Transferred from Parkland College in Champaign, Ill....helped Cobras to a fourth-place finish in the 2003 NJCAA World Series...batted .320 with four homers and 41 RBI for Parkland...was a member of Phi Kappa Theta.
Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for Coal City...helped Coalers to four consecutive Interstate 8 conference championships, two regional championships, one sectional championship and one Elite 8 berth...was a three-time All-Conference selection and two-time All-State selection...as a senior batted .454 with 13 homers and 45 RBI...during his junior campaign, batted .472 with eight homers and 49 RBI...led squad in runs, hits, batting average, doubles, homers, RBI and on-base percentage as a junior and senior...set the school record for homers, doubles, RBI, hits in a season, slugging percentage and on-base percentage...was selected to 'Who[apos]s Who Among American High School Students'...member of the National Honor Society...three-time selection to the Interstate 8 Academic All-Conference team...member of both the science and social academies...born on October 20, 1983...son of Neil and Honor Trotter...majored in pre-medicine.
