2017: Appeared in 51 games with 49 starts, primarily as a designated hitter ... Made four starts behind the plate and one at first base ... Batted .257 with eight extra-base hits and 20 RBI on the season ...  Had 10 multi-hit games ... Clubbed two home runs, both on the road against SEC foes (Vanderbilt and Missouri) ... Collected an RBI in NCAA Hattiesburg Regional game at Southern Miss (June 2) ... Drove in a key run in Horizon League Championship victory over Wright State (May 27) ... Matched season high with three hits in 3-for-3 effort with a double against Chicago State (April 25) ... Registered season-long 10-game hitting streak between March 5 at Mizzou and March 28 vs. Northern Illinois ... Went deep for the second time as a Flame in two-hit game that started streak at Missouri ... Had first three-hit effort in UIC uniform with first home run in victory at No. 7 Vanderbilt (Feb. 26).

PRIOR TO UIC: Earned Southern Region title in 2016 while at Mt. Hood Community College … All-NWAC Second Team honoree ... Drove in 20 runs and scored 12 while batting .286 as a sophomore at MHCC .. UIC senior Jake Dahlberg also attended Mt. Hood, though not at the same time.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Lettered all four years in baseball and football at Bishop Kelly High School … Earned Southern Idaho Conference (SIC) titles in 2011, 2012, and 2014… Three-time 4A SIC Player of the Year (2012, '13, '14) … Earned first team All-SIC honors as a quarterback on the gridiron in 2012 and 2013 … First Team All-State in 2013 ... Helped the Saints win a state title in football ... Enjoys fishing and hunting... Son of Bret and Lori Ogata … Father wrestled at Boise State ...
