Bill Seiple proudly joined the UIC family as the Director of Baseball Operations in August 2016, bringing decades of experience to the program.
Seiple retired as the head baseball coach at Naperville Central High School following the 2010-11 academic year. His teams won more than 700 games, making him one of Illinois' all-time winningest high school coaches. During Seiple's tenure, the Redskins and Redhawks won eight DuPage Valley Conference championships, 13 IHSA Regional championships, three Sectional championships, and two IHSA State Championships, in 2006 and 2010. Many of his players went on to play baseball at the collegiate level, including UIC head coach Mike Dee, who played on one of Coach Seiple's first teams.
Seiple served the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association as its president for two years, and on its Board of Directors for another 10. He is a three-time Coach of the Year recipient, while also being named the Les Miller Man of the Year in 1987. Seiple was inducted into the Illinois High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1996, and into the Naperville Central Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
Seiple retired from Naperville Central as the Dean of Students. He presently works with Major League Baseball as an Official Scorer and he has worked as a high school basketball official for the past 42 years,
Seiple is married to Nancy and the couple has two children, Ryan and Ashley. He is also a proud grandparent of four to Peyton, Carter, Eloise and George.
