Alex Dee returned to his alma mater in August 2025 as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach, where he oversees baseball, swimming, track, and cross country.
Before returning to UIC, he gained extensive experience as Assistant Director of Sports Performance at Wichita State and Oral Roberts, while also holding roles at Denver, Clemson, and Marquette. He is committed to helping athletes maximize their athletic performance while also shaping their character, habits, and life skills in ways that extend far beyond sports.
As a six-year member of the Flames baseball program, Dee was part of the teams that advanced to the NCAA Regionals in 2017 and 2019, and he earned Freshman All-American honors in 2016.
Dee holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Physiology (2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2019), both from UIC. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and is Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, he enjoys training, golfing, reading, and watching sports in his free time.
