Madison Williams joined the men's basketball staff in August 2021 as a graduate manager before being elevated to assistant coach/director of player personnel before the start of the 2022-23 season. No stranger to head coach Luke Yaklich, Williams played college basketball at Illinois State and was a freshman on the team in 2016-17 when Yaklich was the associate head coach. Williams would play for two years before a medical hardship ended his playing days. Williams would remain on the team while working towards his degree.

Prior to joining the Flames, Williams worked as a project engineer at a general contracting firm while coaching his old AAU team, Team Power, for one season.

A native of August, Georgia, Williams graduated from Illinois State in 2020 with a degree in Engineering Technology.
