Marlon London

Marlon London was named the program's director of scouting prior to the start of the 2022-23 season. London joins the Flames following four seasons as an associate head coach at nearby North Park University.  While at North Park, London was instrumental in the recruiting of Jalen Boyd, an all-conference performer, as well as Michael Osborne, who was second in voting for freshman of the year.  Prior to that, London spent two seasons as the associate head coach of Lewis University, helping guide the 2016-17 team to the championship game of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament.  He worked extensively on player development at Lewis, mentoring All-League players Kendale Mccullom and Delaney Blaylock, both of whom are now playing professionally.

Before entering the college ranks, London spent five years as an assistant boys basketball coach for St. Joseph's High School in Westchester, Ill. While coaching, London played a key role in helping the Chargers to the 2015 IHSA Class 3A State Championship and saw seven of his student-athletes receive NCAA Division I scholarships.  Among those Division I players, Glynn Watson was a 1,000 point scorer at Nebraska who is now playing professionally.  Nick Rakocevic was another 1,000 point scorer who excelled at USC, and Jordan Ash was a key piece in Northwestern's first NCAA bid. He now works for the Chicago Bulls.

As a student-athlete, London began his career at the University of Kansas where he garnered Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors. London would go on to graduate from DePaul in 2003 before playing professionally in Estonia, Spain and Mexico.
