2014-15: Saw action in 28 games and had 13 starts ... averaged 22.2 minutes per game ... ranked as UIC's second leading scorer with 10.4 points per game which also ranked 18th in the Horizon League ... scored in double figures on 14 occasions and totaled 20 points or more on four occasions ... averaged 2.4 assists per game which ranked 13th in the Horizon League ... his season free throw shooting percentage of .775 ranked third on the team and 11th in the conference ... began his D-I career with 15 points and five rebounds in the season-opener against DePaul (11/14/15) ... poured in a career-high 26 points versus city-rival Loyola (12/6/15), including 24 in the second half ... shot 10-of-17 from the floor and recorded 24 points against UT-Martin (12/15/15) ... posted eight straight games in double figures during league play and averaged 16.8 points per game during that stretch ... averaged 11.9 points per game during league play only ... just missed a double-double versus Oakland (2/4/15) with 20 points and a career-high nine assists ... against Wright State on Feb. 12, 2015, he scored the game's first nine points on a trio of consecutive three-pointers and finished the night with 21 points.

PRIOR TO UIC: Enters UIC as a junior after playing two seasons of junior college ball ... played sophomore year at Vincennes University and freshman season at Central Wyoming ... helped Vincennes advance to the NJCAA Final Four and take home the third-place team trophy ... guided VU to a program record 34-3 record ... averaged 9.6 points and 3.6 assists per game with the Trail Blazers and made 28 starts ... scored in double figures on 17 occasions and shot 35 percent from behind the arc ... was a key contributor while at Central Wyoming as he averaged 7.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.

PREP/PERSONAL: Played senior year at Proviso East and led the team to a runner-up title in the Illinois 4A State Basketball Championship ... the Pirates fell by two points to powerhouse Simeon and current NBA star Jabari Parker ... Proviso East finished the 2011-12 campaign with a 32-1 record as Burns averaged 15.0 points and 5.0 assists per game ... earned All-State special mention from the Chicago Tribune and All-State honorable mention from the Associated Press ... competed for Curie during his first three years of high school...currently enrolled as a Sociology major.
