AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2022): Game-by-Game Statistics Played 14 matches, all of which were starts...had two goals on the season...ignited UIC's rally against Belmont (Oct. 1) with the team's first goal of the game in an eventual 3-3 draw...scored against Bradley (Oct. 23)...took 12 shots, four of which went on goal...season high was three shots against Bradley...played the full 90 minutes nine times...totaled 1,155 minutes.
AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2021): Game-by-Game Statistics Started all 19 matches...played every minute in 15 matches...second on the team, and first among field players, with 1,730 minutes...totaled 14 shots, with five going on goal...put two shots on goal against Robert Morris.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020): Game-by-Game Statistics Appeared in all 10 matches, and made nine starts...played every minute in four matches...took five shots, putting two on goal...had a season high two shots against Robert Morris...played 784 minutes on the season.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019): Game-by-Game Statistics Horizon League All-Freshman Team...started all 18 matches...played 1,662 minutes to place third among field players...had one assist...played every minute in 16 of 18 matches...attempted eight shots, with one in seven matches and two in the Horizon League tournament against Milwaukee...had the assist on the game's first goal in UIC's win over Wright State...had three shots on goal.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018): Did not see any game action, preserving four years of eligibility.
PREP/PERSONAL: Aaron joined the Flames in the fall of 2018 after finishing his youth career with the Chicago Fire Academy, making it a total of 10 players from the local MLS Academy that were on the roster in 2018. The crafty, technical center-midfielder has appeared in 35 matches thus far in the last two seasons, and has started 11 of 15 this year after missing some through injury.  A hard-working, box-to-box midfielder that is comfortable breaking the lines or winning the ball back, Aaron will join current club teammate Eduardo Garcia in linking up with current FlameÂ
Manny Cerritos as part of the group that led the Chicago Fire U16 Academy team to the Final Four in 2016. Nguyen plans on majoring in Physical Therapy.
