Pavle Dundjer

    Undergraduate Assistant Coach
After a playing career that culminated in All-American honors last fall, Pavle Dundjer returns to the UIC soccer program in 2008 as an undergraduate assistant coach. Dundjer was a four-year letterwinner for the Flames from 2004-2007, scoring 24 goals and assisting on 13 others for 61 career points in 78 matches. He was the first player in Horizon League history to garner All-Horizon League First Team honors in each of his four seasons. In 2007 Dundjer was named to the NSCAA/adidas All-America Third Team after scoring five goals and dishing out three helpers while leading the Flames to the program[apos]s first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. The 2007 team co-captain also earned NSCAA/adidas All-Great Lakes Region First Team accolades, marking the third time in his illustrious career that he was named to an All-Region squad. A native of Becmen in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, Dundjer is working on finishing his degree requirements for a bachelor of science in movement sciences. PAVLE DUNDJER[apos]S PLAYING CAREER

Named to the NSCAA/adidas All-America Third Team...earned All-Great Lakes Region First Team accolades from NSCAA/adidas...became the first men[apos]s soccer player in Horizon League history to earn All-League First Team honors four times (2004-2007)...posted five goals and three assists for 13 points on the year, which tied for second on the team...put up a team-high 39 shots on goal...Horizon League All-Tournament Team selection after scoring three goals in UIC[apos]s three matches...scored UIC[apos]s third and final marker in its league tournament title win over Green Bay on Nov. 18...tallied a pair of markers in the Flames[apos] 4-0 triumph in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament...netted the game-winner in overtime in UIC[apos]s 1-0 win over Valparaiso on Oct. 31...tallied the Flames[apos] lone goal at Akron on Sept. 13. 2006: All-Horizon League First Team and NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team honoree...Horizon League Player of the Week recipient on Oct. 23 while also earning a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week...started all 21 matches...finished second on the team with 16 points... led UIC with a single-season career-best eight goals...scored four goals in UIC[apos]s final six games...tabbed the Flames[apos] lone goal in a win over Northwestern on Oct. 11...found the back of the net on a pair of occasions in UIC[apos]s Horizon League regular-season title clinching win over Green Bay on Oct. 22...scored the Flames[apos] final goal in their NCAA Tournament win over Western Illinois on Nov. 11. 2005: 2005 NSCAA All-Midwest Second Team selection...first UIC player to earn All-Midwest Team honors since 2002...All-Horizon League First Team honoree...played in 17 games, making 16 straight starts...scored seven goals...accumulated a team-leading eight assists and a team-best 22 points...came off the bench to assist on both goals in UIC[apos]s 2-0 win over then-No. 24 Loyola Marymount on Sept. 3...selected to the UC Irvine College Classic All-Tournament Team...assisted on Tonci Skroce[apos]s game-winner in overtime at UMKC on Sept. 10... turned in an eight-point performance against Centenary on Oct. 2, scoring three goals and assisting on two others...booted the match-clinching goal in the 95th minute against Green Bay on Oct. 22. 2004: All-Horizon League First Team selection...Horizon League Newcomer of the Year and Horizon League All-Newcomer Team selection...started 16 matches...scored four goals and posted two assists for 10 points...scored his first collegiate goal and assisted on the game-winning goal against DePaul on Sept. 15... named to the adidas-HomeStay Inn Men[apos]s Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team...earned Horizon League Player of the Week recognition on Oct. 11 after scoring the game-winning goal against UW-Milwaukee on Oct. 10.
