2008: All-Horizon League Second Team selection...appeared in all 22 matches, starting 19 times...scored five goals and assisted on another for 11 points...scored a pair of goals in a win over Green Bay on Oct. 18...scored the only goal of the game in a win over Milwaukee on Oct. 25.

2007: Appeared in all 25 matches, earning the starting nod in 23 outings...converted the deciding penalty kick to push UIC past Saint Louis in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament...tied for second on the team in goals (5) and points (13)...scored a goal in his collegiate debut versus Marquette on Sept. 2...tallied a pair of goals in the Flames[apos] win over Milwaukee on Oct. 21...notched his first career multi-goal outing against Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 23...assisted on the game-winning goal by Kevin Stoll in UIC[apos]s Horizon League Tournament quarterfinal win over Wright State.

2006: Sat out the season as a redshirt, retaining four years of eligibility.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for Chaminade...2005 NSCAA/adidas High School All-American...earned First Team All-Metro Catholic, first team all-state and First Team All-Midwest Region honors...scored 34 goals, the second-most in Chaminade history, in 2005...led the Red Devils to four Metro Catholic Conference crowns...part of Chaminade[apos]s 2003 state runner-up squad...played club soccer for the prestigious Lou Fusz S.C. under coach Don Popovic for four years...part of three consecutive Missouri state titles (2003-05), a 2003 Region 2 title and a second-place national finish with the club...played for the Missouri ODP team from 2004-06...born November 17, 1987...son of Gregg and Cindy Spiess...majoring in sociology.
