Mike Forsythe was named to Lynn Curlyo’s coaching staff in October 2024.
One of the most experienced pitching coaches in the NCAA, Forsythe enters his 23rd year on the Division I level, having served as a member on staffs of numerous successful programs including Louisiana Tech, Maryland, New Mexico, Southeast Missouri, Fordham and FIU.
Forsythe mentored three first team all-conference pitchers at Louisiana Tech, including 2017 Conference USA Newcomer of the Year Krystal de la Cruz and 2018 C-USA Pitcher of the Year Presslee Gallaway. The Louisiana Tech pitching staff threw 18 shutouts in 2017 and posted a 2.48 ERA against power-conference opponents. In the following season, they also held seven Top 25 teams to two runs or fewer.
During his time at Fordham, Forsythe coached USA Top 10 Player of the Year Finalist Jen Mineau, where he helped the Rams post the nations’ lowest ERA in 2010 en route to be named a member of the National Fastpitch Coaching Associatio’s Mid-Atlantic Coaching Staff of the Year.
