2024 (Junior):
  • Started and played 53 games at second base.
  • Tallied 18 hits, three doubles and seven RBI in 105 at-bats.
  • Led the team in sacrifice hits (11) and was tied for second in stolen bases (4).
  • Went 2-for-3 in UIC’s 2-1 win over Murray State on March 15.
  • Tallied two RBI in the Flames 8-7 win against Drake on April 27. 

2023 (Sophomore):
  • She played in 45 games, starting 42 of them.
  • Split time mainly between catching and playing second base.
  • She started the season going two-for-three against North Texas on Feb. 10.
  • Santiago went three-for-three with a career-high three RBI against Valparaiso on Apr. 25.
  • Went 1-for-1 after four sacrifice bunt attempts against Bradley on Apr. 28.
  • Hit a walk-off single against Butler on May 3 to propel the Flames to a 5-4 win.
  • Second on the team in batting average (.243).
  • Fourth on the team in hits (27).
  • Tied for first in triples (two).
  • Second on the team in stolen bases (seven).

2022 (Freshman):
  • Appeared in all 45 games and made 44 starts.
  • One of three players to play in every game. She started 30 times at second base and 14 at catcher.
  • Tied for fourth on the team with five multi-hit games. She was ranked fifth on the team in hits (23) and RBI (11). She collected 10 RBIs against conference foes, third most on the team.
  • Notched a team-best two sacrifice flies and added six sacrifice bunts and was not caught in three stolen base attempts.
  • She went 2-for-4 and scored two runs against Northern Illinois on April 27
  • She had two hits and hit first collegiate home run at Detroit Mercy April 23. Her homer was the third of three consecutive homers for Flames.
  • She tripled and scored a run against the Titans on April 22.
  • She picked up two RBIs at Northern Kentucky on April 2.
  • Santiago made first start behind the plate against the Norse on April 1.
  • She went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored vs. Robert Morris on Mar. 25.
  • Santiago hit a walk-off sacrifice fly against Youngstown State on Mar. 20. and went 2-for-3 with a double and stolen base at Purdue Fort Wayne Mar. 10.
  • Notched first RBI vs. Middle Tennessee State on Feb. 13 and posted first multi-hit game at San Diego State Feb. 12. She went 1-for-3 on opening day vs. Cal Poly on Feb. 12.
High School/ Personal:
  • Majoring in Kinesology.
  •  Lettered all four years as a catcher for Joliet Catholic Academy.
  • She led her team to a 49-19 record with regional victories her freshman and sophomore year. She was named All-Conference her sophomore season.
