2025 (Redshirt Junior):

Appeared in 38 games for the Flames, making 27 starts.
Collected a career-high three hits in a win against Evansville on April 22, 2025.
Tallied three multi-hit games.

2024 (Junior):

Played in 41 games, starting 17 of those games at catcher.
Collected 12 hits, three doubles, a home run and seven RBI in 69 at bats.
Threw out six base runners attempting to steal.
Went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Pacific on Feb. 9.
Crushed a two-RBI single down the middle to contribute to UIC’s 5-1 victory over Hofstra on Feb. 17.
Hit her first collegiate home run in UIC’s 10-3 win over Evansville on March 30.
Hit a two-RBI double in UIC’s 8-7 victory against Drake on April 27.

2023 (Sophomore):

Made 28 appearances and started in 27 games.
Saw most of her time behind the plate or the designated player.
Earned her first hit as a Flame against North Texas on Feb. 10.
Collected 13 of her 18 hits in the month of April.
Led the team to victory over Evansville Apr. 22 3-0. She went three-for-three in the game, scoring twice.

High School/ Personal:

Four-year letterwinner at Romeoville High School.
Three-time All-Southwest Prairie Conference selection.
Led team in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, home runs, and RBI in all three completed seasons (2018, 2019, 2021).
Named team MVP as a senior.
Set single season record with 13 home runs.
Tabbed by Extra Innings and FloSoftball as On Top 100 player in Class of 2021.
Also played volleyball in high school.
Member of National Honor Society.
Daughter of Sheri and Michael Ortiz.
Majoring in Real Estate at UIC.
