UIC Athletics

Skyler Shellmyer joined the UIC Athletic Department in July of 2023 as an Academic Advisor for Student-Athlete Academic Services. Skyler works with the Flames Women’s Soccer, Softball, and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Skyler also assists with the @uic_saas social media.

Skyler Shellmyer is a recent graduate from Northwestern University having studied Education and Social Policy in undergrad and Sports Administration for her Master’s. While completing both of her degrees at Northwestern Skyler also played softball for all 5 years, having played in the Women’s College World Series during the 2022 season. After finishing her playing career, Skyler worked as an intern for Northwestern Athletics in their academic department, helping with the development of their Summer Bridge programs and onboarding first-year student-athletes. Having a passion for college athletics, Skyler decided to stay in the Chicago area and join UIC to help the Flames Student-Athletes in the classroom.
