Nicole Mulford joined the women's basketball staff as a graduate assistant in August of 2019. Mulford arrived at UIC after receiving her bachelor's degree in sport and recreation from the University of Iowa, where she served as head basketball manager for the Hawkeye women's basketball team following two years as a student manager. As head manager, Mulford provided live game offensive tracking for the coach staff, oversaw the five other undergraduate managers on staff, managed and scheduled the team's practice players and assisted with practice, shoot-arounds and statistics.
While in her role as student manager, Mulford additionally took on the role of office assistant for the Iowa women's squad in the summer of 2018. Mulford also completed a director of basketball operations internship, as well as a video coordinator and creative director internship during her time with the Hawkeyes.
Before arriving in Iowa City, Mulford completed an internship within the athletic department at Luther College, where she played for two years, helping the Norse to an IIAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance in 2015 as well as a conference championship in 2016.
