Sardin finished her second season with the Flames in 2014-15. UIC jumped out to a 8-1 record in the 2014-15 season, which is the best nine-game start in the Division-I era (1981-present). Ruvanna Campbell took home her second straight Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year award. Additionally, Campbell was named to the All-League First Team and the All-Defensive Team. Terri Bender was voted to the All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive season.
During the 2013-14 season, Sardin helped lead the Flames to a program-record 26 wins, the first postseason championship (WBI) in program history and the nation's largest turnaround. UIC collected 17 more wins (26-9) than the entire 2012-13 campaign (9-21), which was the largest win differential amongst 347 programs nationwide.
Sardin was hired by head coach Regina Miller during the summer of 2013. A native of Chicago, Sardin was a three-year captain for the University of Virginia and spent the 2012-13 season on the Mt. Olive College coaching staff.
As an assistant coach at Mt. Olive, Sardin helped the Trojans compile an 18-12 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship, marking their second-ever postseason berth. Mt. Olive earned the automatic bid by claiming the Conference Carolinas Tournament title with an overtime win against Pfieffer.
Prior to Mt. Olive, Sardin spent three years as the head coach at William Byrd High School in Vinton, Va. From 2007-10, Sardin played professionally in the European Basketball Federation in Madeira, Portugal where she was a three-time captain.
Sardin graduated from Virginia in 2006 with a degree in sociology. As a member of Cavaliers women's basketball program, she captained the squad for three-consecutive seasons. In 2006, Sardin was selected as the team's Cavalier of the Year and Best Offensive Player. She started every game during her final season, pacing the team in rebounding and ranking third in scoring.
