Prior to UIC

A three-year starter at Alton High School in Alton, Ill.
Helped contribute to a 34-3 record for the Redbirds, going 12-0 in the Southwestern Conference for the title.
The Redbirds later pushed towards the 2025 Illinois High School Association Class 4A State Semifinals.
In her junior season, Powers was selected to the Southwestern All-Conference First Team, as well as Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-4A State First Team honors after averaging 13 points, six rebounds and over two steals per game.
Also is a contributing member of Napheesa Collier’s Elite club.
