Biography

2024-25 (Senior):
  • Played in all 33 games, starting in two of them.
  • Reached career-highs in points (8.2) and rebounds (5.3) per game. Also shot a career-high seven threes and was 82.8% from the charity stripe.
  • Collected three double-doubles across the season, including a 20-point, 10-rebound performance in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Credit Union 1 Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament against Missouri State on March 14.
  • Scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in UIC’s 94-71 win over Indiana State at home on Feb. 21.
  • Added three blocks in UIC’s 62-46 win at SIU on Feb 16.

2023-2024 (Junior):
  • Appeared in 33 games for the Flames, starting three of them.
  • Averaged 3.5 PPG and 2.9 RPG.
  • Set career high in rebounds with 11 against Bradley on Feb. 17, 2024.
  • Scored season-high of 15 points against Drake on Feb. 29, 2024.

2022-2023 (Sophomore):

  • Played in all 36 games for the Flames, coming off the bench.
  • Third on the team in points (7.7) and rebounds (3.7) for the Flames.
  • Earned her first collegiate double-double against Fairleigh Dickson with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
  •  Dempsey-Toney scored a career-high 19 points in the overtime win against St. Thomas on Nov 22, 2022.
  • Between Nov. 22- Dec. 20, 2022, Dempsey-Toney had scored in double figures six games in a row.
  • Eight-best free throw shooter in the Missouri Valley Conference at 83.3%.
2021-2022 (Freshman):
  • Played in 25 games and starting 15 games for the Flames, making her Flames debut against Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 18, 2021.
  • She averaged 3.9 PPG and 2.1 RPG for the Flames. She also had the second most blocks on the team, and ninth in the Horizon League with 19.
  • Scored a season-high 15 points against Milwaukee on Jan. 6, 2022.
High School/Personal:
  • Lettered all four years in basketball at Franklin High School.
  • Played a role in her team to a 78-24 record, including a 34-0 sophomore season.
  • Won the 2018-2019 Skyland Conference Championship
  • Winter Athlete of the Year in 2020 and Group 4 MVP in 2021. 
  • All-Skyland Conference Select First Team and Honor Roll Student-Athlete.
