Bender's Career Stats

2016-17: Became UIC's all-time assist leader 1/28 with her 455th assist, coming in a season-high 10 assist game against Valparaiso...finished her career with 504 assists, 1,107 points, and 269 steals...became the 21st member of UIC's 1,000 point club 1/20 against Wright State...finished in second place all-time at UIC in steals...had a season high and career high-tying 11 rebounds 2/16 against Detroit Mercy...also made the game-winning free throws with three seconds left against the Titans...set a season high with 17 points against Youngstown State 2/4, including the game-tying putback at the end of regulation...became the sixth player in program history to make 100 starts, and joined the exclusive group of players to record 1,000 points, 400 assists, 400 rebounds, and 250 steals...only three other players have achieved all four of those milestones...finished second in the Horizon League in assists, fourth in steals, and fifth in assist/turnover ratio...in addition to assists and steals, led the team in free throw percentage and free throws made...led the Flames in assists in 24 games...returned from season ending knee injury with six points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 17 minutes against Lake Forest...played in 30 games, all starts...scored in double digits eight times...posted 13 points on two occasions, 1/12 and 2/25...nabbed a season high six steals 11/17 and had four thefts six additional times...made buzzer-beating shots to end the third quarter from near the opposite free throw line in consecutive games 1/17 and 1/20.
