UIC Athletics

Amri Wilder is in her first year as Director of Marketing at UIC, having originally joined the Flames' team in January 2023 as an Athletics Communications Associate.

In her current role, Wilder assists with marketing and promotions efforts for all 18 UIC varsity athletics programs. She is also tasked with oversight of the Sparky's Kids Club program.

Wilder previously served as the primary communications point of contact for the UIC women's basketball, women's soccer and track & field/cross country programs, while actively supporting creative service efforts for numerous UIC varsity sports programs.

Before coming to UIC, Wilder worked as a multimedia journalist at WTVO-TV (ABC) / WQRF-TV (Fox), where she appeared on weekday and Sunday evening shows. Prior to her on-air work, she gained extensive experience as a multimedia and digital producer in the local news industry.

Wilder graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, majoring in Mass Communications. During her time there, she also contributed to the women's basketball team, following a successful career at Oswego High School, where she was later inducted into the Oswego Athletics Hall of Fame for her achievements.

In her free time, Wilder enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, sewing, and traveling. She’s also a proud dog mom of a Morkie named Tinker.
