Andrew Percic joined the UIC coaching staff as a volunteer assistant prior to the 2019 season.
Percic was an instrumental part of UIC's dramatic turnaround in his first year in Chicago. The Flames posted the nation's second-best RPI improvement, and fifth-best winning percentage increase from 2018, after going 12-6-1 overall and 7-2 in Horizon League play. Virtually every single-season record, both offensively and defensively, was broken. The Flames earned their first-ever postseason win, and made their first appearance in the Horizon League championship match.
Prior to arriving in Chicago, he served as the Director of Goalkeeping and U-19 Boy's Head Coach for Elkhorn Soccer Club in Nebraska.
Percic competed as a goalkeeper at Sterling College. He worked as an assistant coach at his alma mater from July 2016-May 2017. Percic aided in all areas of the program including game and practice management, player development and recruiting.
The Chicagoland native has gained experience through his young career with several top club programs in the area including Evolution Soccer Club and Eclipse Select Soccer Club.
Percic, who attended Glenbard East High School, graduated from Sterling with a degree in Sport Management in May 2017. In May 2019, he earned a Master's in Business Administration from Hope International University. He has been a member of the US Army Reserves since 2012. Percic graduated in top percent of training class and has received the Commandants’ Award for excellence in training.
