Colhoff is in her fourth season as an assistant coach for the UIC women's soccer team after joining the staff in February 2014 prior to the start of the Flames' first season of competition.
Colhoff has helped shape the program in the right direction four seasons in, improving off of an inaugural record of 3-15-0 to go 5-12-2 in year two, 6-10-2 in year three and 7-13-0 in year four that featured the program's first ever postseason berth.
UIC has consistently bettered its offense and defense than the years prior, with 2016 turning out the program's most assists (19) and fewest goals, assists and shots allowed for opponents, while 2017 came out with the most goals (22), shots (272) and shots on goal (111).
UIC has garnered eight All-Horizon League distinctions (Kelly Fritz-2, Jasmin Carrera, Madison Pollard, Olivia Everin-2, Emily Wauer, Tamae Douglas) and six All-Freshman Team honors (Jasmin Carrera, Kelly Fritz, Naomi Rushe, Tamae Douglas, Emily Valentine, Ashlin West), in addition to Fritz earning Goalkeeper of the Year nods in back-to-back seasons.
Before coming to UIC, Colhoff spent three years at Lewis University as the assistant women's soccer coach. She helped usher in unprecedented success for the Flyers, posting consecutive winning seasons for the first time in 19 years and guiding Lewis to its first 10-win season since 1997. Colhoff mentored five players who were named to the Great Lakes Valley All-Conference team and helped one player garner NSCAA All-Region honors.
Colhoff received her Bachelor's degree in Human Services from then-Horizon League school Loyola-Chicago. She was a four-year starter at center-back for the Ramblers, a two-time All-Conference selection and helped Loyola capture two League Tournament Titles in 2006 and 2007. The Ramblers won the Horizon League regular season title in 2008 as Colhoff garnered All-Tournament team honors in 2008 and 2009. She finished her career third all-time in matches played and helped set a program record for most shutouts in one season with 11 in 2007.
The Buffalo Grove, Ill., native earned several distinctions off the field as well. She is a four-time Dean's List and Loyola All-Academic Team honoree. Colhoff collected All-Horizon League Academic honors on three occasions and was named NSCAA Academic All-District Honorable Mention. This past May she received her Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Lewis.
