Meagan Ryan

Meagan Ryan was named an assistant coach for the UIC women’s soccer program in May 2023.

Ryan joined the Flames after spending the 2022 season with Auburn as a graduate assistant. In total, Ryan has six years of college coaching experience at all three levels of NCAA women's soccer competition.

"We are thrilled to officially welcome Meag to the UIC women's soccer program," said head coach David Nikolic. "Meag has impressed me from the moment we first spoke. She is confident and eager to learn with an expectation to expand her knowledge of the game as she spends more time on the field. After working for two well-known and respected coaches in her last stops at the Division 1 level, she will add fresh ideas to weave into our vision of UIC women's soccer."

A four year midfielder who scored six goals and 13 assists in 72 games at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, Ryan began her college coaching career as an assistant at Auburn University at Montgomery before moving back to her alma mater for two years. She transitioned to a volunteer assistant position at Eastern Kentucky University for the 2021 season before Auburn.

Ryan received her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College in Sports Management and her Master of Adult Education from Auburn University.

A Clarksville, Maryland native, Ryan also has experience coaching ODP both in Kentucky and Virginia, club coaching in Alabama, Kentucky and Virginia and is a US Soccer 'D' licensed coach.

She is primarily involved with on field training, recruiting, film breakdown and scouting reports, camps and social media planning and implementation.
