2023 (FRESHMAN)

• Competed in 14 matches over 31 sets for the Flames.
• Ninth on the team with digs (37), averaging 1.19 digs per set.
• Tallied three service aces in the win against Ball State on Sept. 9
• Earned her first collegiate kill against DePaul on Sept. 16.
• Collected her collegiate-high seven digs in UIC’s win against Southern Illinois on Oct. 21.

High School / Personal

• Attended Archbishop McCarthy High School in Southwest Ranches, Fla.
• Lettered four years in volleyball and three years in soccer and also played beach volleyball.
• Was a three-time district champion and was named to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Team in 2022. 
• Chosen for the All Academic team by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association her senior year
• Named Archbishop McCarthy High School female Athlete of the Year for the 2022-23 school year. 
• Named to the All County teams by the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinel her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. 
• MVP of her volleyball team her junior and senior seasons. 
• Awarded the senior award for her volleyball and beach volleyball teams her senior year.
• Led team in digs-per-set and kills-per-set her senior year.
• Played three years of beach volleyball and one year of soccer in high school. 
• Selected for the Miami Herald All-County Team her sophomore, junior and senior year.
• Grew up in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
• Daughter of Omar Hoyos and Cecilia  Mejias.
• Brother, Omar plays volleyball for George Mason University.
