The UIC women's swimming and diving team fell to two MCC foes Saturday in a double-dual meet at Wright State. The host Raiders defeated UIC 78-33, while Cleveland State pulled out a 67-46 victory against the Flames.
The Flames were led by Julie-Anne Chico and Shannon Joseph, who each won two events for UIC.
Julie-Anne Chico took first against both opponents in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events, winning those races in times of :54.79 and 1:58.20, respectively.
Shannon Joseph turned in an outstanding performance for the Flames on the diving events, winning the one- and three-meter diving events against both Cleveland State and Wright State. She took the one-meter dive with a score 216.05 while taking first on the three-meter dive with a score of 223.50.
