Chicago, Ill. - The Horizon League moved the dates of its 2001 Soccer Championship recently. First round games will be played on Saturday, Nov. 10, with the four highest seeds hosting on their campuses. The highest remaining seed will then host the semifinals and finals the following weekend, on Friday, Nov. 16, and Saturday, Nov. 17. Game times and seeding are still to be determined.

The Horizon League was able to push its 2001 championship back a week after the NCAA expanded the NCAA Tournament from 32 to 48 teams and eliminated play-in qualification. The Horizon League tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
