Midwestern Collegiate Conference Announces Men's Tennis Championship Brackets

Chicago, Ill. - The Midwestern Collegiate Conference released the men's and women's tennis championship brackets today as the tournament will be held at North Central High School, in Indianapolis, Indiana, this Saturday at 10 AM.

The Flames have drawn the No. 4 seed and will square off with No. 5 seed Cleveland State at 10 AM. The winner of the match will face No. 1 seed Butler in the MCC semifinals at 3 PM. In other semifinal action, #3 UW-Green Bay will take on #2 Wright State,

In earlier contests this season, UIC defeated Cleveland State, 7-0, on April 14th while dropping a 7-0 decision to Butler on February 16th.

The championship will be held on Sunday, April 29th at 10 AM with the winner earning an automatic bid into the 2001 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.

Quarterfinal Round Match 1: #4 UIC vs. #5 Cleveland State, 10 AM.

Semifinal Round
Match 2: #3 UW-Green Bay vs. #2 Wright State, 10 AM.
Match 3: #1 Butler vs. Winner of Match 1, 3 PM.

Consolation Round
Third Place: Loser of Match 2 vs. Loser of Match 3, 10 AM.
Championship Round
Match 5: Winner of Match 2 vs. Winner of Match 3, 10 AM.
