Chicago, Ill.- The University of Illinois at Chicago soccer team will close out their regular season slate this Wednesday, taking on Northwestern at Flames Field.

The match kicks off at 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday's contest will also feature Senior Day festivities for graduating defenders Adam Jones and Ryan Singer. The two captains of this year's squad have teamed together the past three seasons, anchoring a defense that has shutout 10 opponents while holding 27 teams to a goal or less.

Northwestern is 10-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Big Ten, good for third in the conference.

UIC also found out that their Horizon League Tournament quarterfinal opponent will be Wright State, who narrowly defeated the Flames this past Sunday in a 1-0 match in Fairborn, Ohio. The Flames and Raiders square off this Saturday, Nov. 6th at 6 p.m.

The Flames will travel to Ohio to face the Raiders on the road for the second time within the week, marking the first time that UIC will begin the league quarterfinals away from Flames Field.

UIC has a 6-1 all-time Horizon League Tournament quarterfinals record, with their sole blemish coming last year at the hands of the Raiders on a double-overtime goal.

But before the Flames focus on the tournament, they must get past a tough Wildcats squad.

UIC has won the last six matches they have played against Northwestern, including a 2-0 shutout in Evanston last season.
