Peoria, Ill.- The University of Illinois at Chicago men's tennis team completed action at the Bradley Invitational on Saturday, finishing in fifth place in the doubles flight while taking second and fourth in two singles flights.

UIC was paced by Andy Lockhart, who tallied two singles wins, and Sean Kreymborg and Eric Fey, who each notched singles and doubles victories.

The Flames downed Missouri-Kansas City for the fifth-place doubles ranking at the invite, using Kreymborg's 8-6 win with Paul Glendenning over Jon and Justin Ghani and Fey's victory with James Wonneberg over Evan Clark and Roberto Quintanilla in a hard-fought 9-7 win.

Lockhart defeated Jon Ghani, 6-2, 6-0, while Kreymborg and Fey won their matches in UIC's 3-0 sweep of UMKC in the second round of Singles Flight B.

In the first-place match of the B flight between the Flames and Valparaiso, Lockhart posted another singles win with a 6-2, 6-2 win over the Crusaders' Dave Barnett, but Valpo took the next two for the flight victory.

Ivan Kovalev posted a singles win in the third-place encounter between the host Braves and UIC, but Bradley took the final two matches to knock the Flames to fourth.

The Flames went 11-9 in singles action and 5-4 in doubles play over the weekend.

UIC is back in action next Saturday as the Flames meet Chicago State at 10:00 a.m. at the UIC Outdoor Courts.
