Chicago, Ill.- It was tough start to the spring season for the UIC men's tennis team, as the Flames dropped a 7-0 match to DePaul at the Lakeshore Athletic Club on Friday night.
Ivan Kovalev kept it close against Mark Henderson in No. 1 singles action, but Henderson escaped with a 6-4, 6-3 win.
Eric Fey and James Wonneberg were close to a win in No. 3 doubles, but fell 8-5 to George Wang and Gabriel Inchauste.
UIC is back in action this Thursday against Marquette at 4 p.m.
