Chicago, Ill.- For the first time since 2001, the University of Illinois at Chicago soccer team received votes for the NSCAA/adidas National Rankings.
In the national rankings released on Tuesday, the Flames received votes for the Top 25 following their shutout of No. 25 UW-Milwaukee in Milwaukee and their victory over Butler at Flames Field.
UIC was joined by San Diego State in receiving votes for the NSCAA/adidas National Rankings.
The last time UIC received votes in the national rankings was October 15, 2001, when the Flames broke into the poll at No. 24.
The Flames remained at the fourth spot in the NSCAA/adidas Midwest Regional Rankings for the second consecutive week.
UIC returns to action Wednesday afternoon, hitting the road for a brief trip to Lincoln Park to face DePaul at 3:00 p.m. Central.
