Hinsdale, Ill.- The UIC men's tennis team won five of six singles matches and captured the doubles point to take a convincing 6-1 win over visiting Wayne State on Saturday night at the Hinsdale Racquet Club.

UIC (4-3) jumped out to the early one-point lead thanks to two solid doubles wins. The Flames didn't waste any time on the singles side, as four of their five singles victories went two sets and saw UIC hold Wayne State players to two games or less.

Even in defeat the Flames looked great. Paul Glendenning continues to play tough in his first season at the No. 2 singles position, taking Miguel Cobbs to three frames in a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 loss.

Enrico Kasjan made his UIC debut, winning a 6-1, 6-1 decision over Mike Frolou.

UIC continues their five-match homestand this Saturday against Northern Illinois at the Hinsdale Racquet Club at 8 p.m.
