Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team opens a five-game swing away from the friendly confines of the UIC Pavilion on Wednesday night when they travel to meet Davidson at 6 p.m. CST. The game can be heard on ESPN Radio 1000 AM in its entirety beginning at 7 p.m.
The Flames enter the game 1-0 on the year following Saturday's 75-60 win over St. Edward's. Junior Othyus Jeffers paced UIC past the Hilltoppers with a career-high 24 points and five steals, while adding eight rebounds and a pair of assists.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, are coming off a strong showing at the John Thompson Heritage Challenge hosted by Michigan over the weekend. Davidson went 2-1 at the event with wins over Eastern Michigan and Central Connecticut State, with its lone loss coming at the hands of the host Wolverines.
Freshman Stephen Curry led the Wildcats' attack in the tournament, averaging 21.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
UIC is 1-0 all-time against Davidson with that lone victory coming in a 76-67 triumph last season at the UIC Pavilion.
