Burr Ridge, Ill.- A sweep of singles play, including six of seven matches in straight sets, propelled the UIC men's tennis team to a 7-0 shutout of Wayne State at the Five Seasons Sports Club on Saturday night.
UIC (1-2) went ahead with two convincing doubles wins to snatch the paired point. The Flames then proved to be merciless in singles action, as all seven players picked up wins.
The Flames will take on Drake in Des Moines, Iowa next Saturday.
