Carbondale, Ill.- The UIC men's tennis team fell to in-state rival Southern Illinois by a 5-2 decision at University Courts on Saturday.
The Flames fell behind after falling in a hotly-contested doubles slate, while the Salukis went on to capture four of the six singles contests to earn the dual match win.
Sam Sweeney won at the fifth spot, defeating Nick Bauer in straight sets, while Andy Lockhart also picked up a singles win.
UIC returns to action on April 7th against Horizon League rival Butler in Indianapolis.
