Youngstown, Ohio- The UIC women's tennis team completed a two-match sweep through wintry Ohio this past weekend, as the Flames knocked off Horizon League foe Youngstown State by a 6-1 count at the Boardman Tennis Center on Saturday night.
UIC (8-6, 5-0 Horizon League) overwhelmed the Penguins from the start, taking the doubles point with a sweep of paired play.
The Flames then won five of the six singles clashes, all in straight sets.
UIC hosts Wright State this Saturday. It is currently scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the UIC Outdoor Courts, but inclement weather may force the action indoors. Check back here at uicflames.com for information on any venue and time changes.
