CHICAGO- After a week-long holiday break from game competition, the UIC men's basketball team gets back to the court this Tuesday night by hosting Horizon League rival Milwaukee inside the UIC Pavilion at 7 p.m.

The game between the Flames (8-3, 1-0 Horizon League) and the Panthers (6-5, 2-0 Horizon League) will be televised on Lakeshore Public Television and ESPN Full Court. Live streaming video of the game is available on the Horizon League Network and ESPN360.com, and live streaming audio with Adam Levinson and UIC legend Kenny Williams calling the game is available on uicflames.com.

A win over Milwaukee, a team that has won three of its last four, would improve UIC's record in December to 6-1. That would be the Flames' best December mark since a 6-1 record by the 1997-98 NCAA Tournament squad. It would also give UIC a 9-3 record, the Flames' best 12-game start since a 9-3 beginning to the 2003-04 season that also culminated in a berth to the Big Dance.

UIC has won seven of its last eight games heading into Tuesday's clash against the Panthers. During that span the Flames have won four of five road games, including impressive victories over Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.

While the road has been kind of late to the Flames, there is no place like home for UIC. In five games at the Pavilion this season the Flames are averaging 77.4 ppg, led by senior guard Josh Mayo's 22.6 ppg at home. Mayo is shooting 55.7 percent (34-for-61) from the Pavilion floor and 55.6 percent (20-for-36) from behind UIC's home arcs.

Mayo continues to lead the Horizon League in scoring at 19.4 ppg, while fellow senior Scott VanderMeer ranks sixth in scoring at 13.5 ppg. VanderMeer is also the league's top rebounder (9.1 rpg) and shot blocker (2.8 rpg).

The Flames have won the last four against the Panthers, including three straight over Milwaukee at the Pavilion.

Tuesday's game is the first of 16 consecutive league games for the Flames.
