Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team made the most of a chilly but sunny day out on Flames Courts, defeating IPFW, 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Flames jumped out to a one point lead after taking the top two doubles matches. At No. 2 doubles, Sebastian Lystad and Eric Fey defeated Carlos Gonzalez and Diego Arteaga, 8-3.

With the victory, Fey has now leads the all-time career doubles wins at UIC with 50 victories throughout his career, sharing the honor with Andy Lockhart and Scott Davies.

UIC took control of the singles matches early, defeating the Mastodons with ease. Senior Sean Kreymborg picked up the first win of the afternoon at the sixth singles slot, and his fellow Flames followed suit soon then after.

Bastian Harbo capped off the match with a tiebreaker win over Carlos Gonzalez, taking the 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 victory at No. 2 singles.

UIC will next take on Villanova on Saturday at 9 a.m. Depending on the weather, the match may be moved indoors. Check back at uicflames.com for up-to-date information.
