St. Louis, Mo.- The 16th-ranked UIC men's soccer team opened its two-game preseason slate on Friday night, falling in a closely-contested 1-0 match to No. 23 Tulsa at the Gallagher College Friendlies in St. Louis, Mo.

A goal in the 65th minute by Tulsa's Corey Albertson was the only marker of the evening.

UIC wraps up the preseason on Monday at Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind. at 6 p.m. Central.
