Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's soccer team's annual Alumni Night was held this past Monday, Sept. 1 during the Flames' 4-3 victory over fifth-ranked Santa Clara, and a great alumni turnout made the evening one to remember.
Over 60 former players and their friends and families made the trip to Flames Field for the festivities.
Prior to the UIC-Santa Clara match, an Alumni Match was held on Les Miller Field and featured players from various eras of UIC soccer.
Afterwards the alums gathered for a special tailgate on the northeast corner of Flames Field and watched the exciting match between two nationally-ranked sides.
"A super showing by the alums," UIC head coach John Trask said. "We thank them and truly appreciate them, not just for tonight but for the tradition they have helped build and their continued support."
UIC Athletics thanks its alumni for their support. Another special night dedicated to the alums will take place on Friday, Sept. 26 in conjunction with the Flames' match against Cleveland State. The UIC Athletic Alumni Club will host a special gathering that day. More information will be made available on uicflames.com regarding this special night later this month.
