MATCH 13:
UIC FLAMES
(4-4-4, 1-1-1 Horizon League)
vs.
Milwaukee
(3-7-2, 2-1-2 Horizon League)
Saturday, Oct. 17 * 7:00 p.m. Central
Flames Field * Chicago, Ill.
CHICAGO- A crucial Horizon League match awaits the UIC men's soccer team this Saturday night, as the Flames play host to Milwaukee at Flames Field with a kick-off time set for 7 p.m.
UIC will have a special ceremony at halftime honoring its men's soccer alumni, most notably the 1999 NCAA Tournament team in a special recognition of the 10th anniversary of the first Flames side to advance to NCAA postseason play.
The Flames (4-4-4, 1-1-1 Horizon League) are coming off a fine 1-0 road win at Ohio State this past Wednesday, despite missing six regulars.
Like UIC, the Panthers (3-7-2, 2-1-2 Horizon League) pose more of a threat than their overall record indicates. Milwaukee was gone unbeaten in its last four contests, with two clean sheets on the board during that span.
Both teams are now jockeying for position in the league standings. Five Horizon League competitions remain for the Flames, with three of those taking place at Flames Field and four total taking place in Chicago including the Oct. 24 match at Loyola.
