CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team put up a resounding victory over state rival Bradley on Saturday night, taking down the Braves, 7-0.
The Flames swept doubles play with easy victories at the second and third positions. The top team of George Hudson and Sebastian Lystad were taken to a tiebreaker by Milos Romic and Callen Fraychineaud, but the Flames prevailed, winning the `breaker, 7-5, to take the match, 9-8.
In singles action, the Flames took down their opponents all in straight sets, albeit three positions went to the tiebreaker to close out victory in UIC's favor.
Playing at No. 1 singles, Lystad pulled out the win against doubles opponent Romic, taking the match, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (6).
Not to be forgotten at the bottom of the lineup, freshman Hudson and Nate Kirk continue to claim victory after victory in their first season as a Flame.
UIC returns to the road this coming weekend when they face Indiana State in Terra Haute on Saturday the 21st at 6 p.m.
