CHICAGO- UIC junior Bastian Harbo (Oslo, Norway/Wang Toppidrett) was named the Horizon League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the period ending Apr. 7, the league office announced on Wednesday, Apr. 8.
Harbo posted a perfect 4-0 record last week at No. 2 singles and doubles in the Flames' dual match wins over Butler and Dayton.
In doubles, he teamed with Danny Wilson to defeat Butler's Chris Herron and Zach Ervin (8-4) before edging Herron in singles, 6-4, 7-6, 14-12.
Harbo also posted a 9-8 doubles victory and a 6-1, 7-6 singles win against the Flyers.
Harbo and the Flames, who have won three straight dual matches and are 4-0 in Horizon League play, take on conference rivals Youngstown State and Cleveland State in Ohio this weekend.
