DEKALB, Ill.- Lana Lobdell had 14 kills and Jessica Dalke added 28 assists, but it was not enough as the UIC volleyball team fell to state rival Southern Illinois, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22), at the NIU Comfort Inn & Suites of Rochelle Invitational on Victor E. Court on Saturday afternoon.
UIC fell to 1-2 on the season.
Errors plagued the Flames. Both teams had 37 kills, but UIC's nine extra miscues proved hurtful.
The Flames round out the NIU Comfort Inn & Suites of Rochelle Invitational later against the host Huskies at 7 p.m.
