CHICAGO- UIC Athletics will host its 16th annual UIC Athletics Scholarship Classic golf outing Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. The annual event benefits the UIC Athletics Scholarship Fund, and is the fund's largest fundraiser of the year.

There are still foursomes available for the event, which is limited to 36 foursomes total and will be played in a shamble format. There are four levels of golfing/sponsorship available, with Par contributors ($125) coming to just dinner and drinks, all the way up to Hole-in-One sponsorship, which includes three foursomes with corporate signage for $6,600. Single foursomes are available for a $2,500 donation, while a $2,900 donation will get a foursome and corporate signage on the course.

In addition to the golf outing, there will be a cocktail hour and a buffet dinner, with a silent auction throughout the evening. Some of this year's auction items include a Joe Frazier autographed boxing glove, Wrigleyville Rooftop tickets, Sox tickets and Bobby Jenks autographed memorabilia.

Last year's event raised more than $100,000 for the UIC Athletics Scholarship Fund. To reserve a foursome for this year's event, contact Lisa Meindl at (312) 996-5874.
