MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The UIC men's tennis team lost a hard fought battle to Marquette at the Halfaer Tennis Center on Sunday morning.
The Flames fell 6-1 to the Golden Eagles, Luis Gonzaga was victorious in singles and doubles competition.
Gonzaga defeated Otavio Perim in singles play in three sets (6-3, 6-7, 6-1) and with teammate Scott Shepardson won their doubles match 8-4.
UIC returns to the courts on Feb. 6 when they face Wisconsin at 10 a.m. and SMU at 7:30 p.m. in Madison Wis.
