Soccer Game versus Eastern Illinois Postponed until Wednesday

Oct. 26, 2010

CHICAGO – Due to the threat of high winds and inclement weather in the Chicagoland area, Tuesday’s previously scheduled men’s soccer game between UIC and visiting Eastern Illinois has been postponed 24 hours.  The Flames and Panthers will now play Wednesday night, beginning at 7 p.m., at Flames Field.

According to the National Weather Service, a “High Wind Warning” is in effect in Chicago until 8 p.m.  The decision to postpone the game was made for both the safety of the participants and fans in attendance.

Wednesday’s game is the lone mid-week contest for both UIC and EIU.  The Flames will then be idle until Sunday, when they take on host Valparaiso, while the Panthers will resume Missouri Valley Conference play Friday at Evansville.
